The making of DVDs is separated into two different types of manufacturing; DVD Replication and DVD Duplication. You must first be aware of the differences and advantages of these two types of manufacturing a DVD.

The formats available are:

DVD Replication - On Disc Printing with Data manufactured into the disc by machine.
The process involves making a Glass Master, and is ideal for all quantities over 1,000 units

• 5” (120mm) DVD-5, DVD-9 and DVD-10
• 3” (80mm) DVD-3
• Business Cards – 350Mb Saddle (hockey rink) shape DVD’s (86mm x 61mm)

These discs can be printed full colour Litho (offset) or Screen printed up to 5 Pantone colours

Packaging: All types of packaging are available (e.g. Jewel Cases, DVD cases, Plastic Wallets, Card Wallets, DigiPaks, c-Shells, Ejector cases or Bespoke Packs.

Lead-time: 10 -12 Working days from receipt of all parts (Design and Data)

DVD Duplication - On Disc Printing + with or without data duplicated onto the DVDR disc.

The process involves burning DVDRs, and is ideal for quantities from 100 units.

• 5” (120mm) DVDR
• 3” (80mm) DVDR
• Business Cards: Credit Card shape & Saddle are not available in our duplication service.

These discs can be printed full colour Litho (offset) or Screen printed up to 5 Pantone colours

Packaging: All types of packaging are available (e.g. Jewel Cases, DVD cases, Plastic Wallets, Card Wallets, DigiPaks, c-Shells, Ejector cases or Bespoke Packs.

Lead-time: 3 - 7 Working days from receipt of all parts (Design and Data)

Both DVD Replicated and DVDR Duplicated discs will work effectively in all computers and players, and the prime differences are: Your delivery requirements – quantity – and ultimate budget.

Replicated DVD Discs: Low Cost - Minimum quantity 1,000 - 10 / 12 Days delivery

Duplicated DVD Discs: More Expensive - Minimum quantity 100 - 3 Day delivery
