
CD Manufacturing Services
The making of CDs is separated into two different types of manufacturing; CD Replication and CD Duplication. You must first be aware of the differences and advantages of these two types of manufacturing a CD.
The formats available are:
CD Replication – On Disc Printing with Data manufactured into the disc by machine The process involves making a Glass Master, and is ideal for all quantities over 1,000 units
- 5” (120mm) CD-ROM and Audio CD
- 3” (80mm) CD-ROM and Audio CD
These discs can be printed full colour Litho or Screen printed up to 5 Pantone colours
Packaging: All types of packaging are available e.g. Jewel Cases, DVD cases, Plastic Wallets, Card Wallets, DigiPaks, c-Shells, Ejector Cases or Bespoke Packs.
Lead-time: 10 / 12 Working days from receipt of all parts (Design and Data)
CD Duplication - On Disc Printing + with or without data duplicated onto a CD-R disc
The process involves burning CD-Rs, and is ideal for quantities from 50 units.
- 5” (120mm) CD-ROM and Audio CD
- 3” (80mm) CD-ROM and Audio CD
These discs can be printed full colour Litho or Screen printed up to 5 Pantone colours
Packaging: All types of packaging are available e.g. Jewel Cases, DVD Cases, Plastic Wallets, Card Wallets, DigiPaks, c-Shells, Ejector Cases or Bespoke Packs.
Lead-time: 3 / 7 Working days from receipt of all parts (Design and Data)
Summary:
Both CD Replicated and CD-R Duplicated discs will work effectively in all computers and CD players, and the prime differences are: Your delivery requirements - quantity - and ultimate budget.
Replicated CDs : Low Cost - Minimum Quantity 500 Discs - 10 / 12 Days Delivery
Duplicated CDs : More Expensive - Minimum Quantity 50 Discs - 3 Day Delivery
